princess-cut vintage sewing pattern with bow?


I was searching for vintage dress patterns for a princess-cut cocktail dress. I found an amazing 1950s pattern for a black cocktail dress with a deep v in the back with a large bow connecting the shoulders. Somehow I lost the link and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a dress pattern like the one I described. Links would be nice…Thanks!

That’d be a pretty simple pattern to redo from something like:

Drop the back in a V, add or subtract flare from the skirt as it pleases you, and add the bow across the back V.

Watch the V.. if it gets too low, you’ll need to build it like a bustier.

I’ve seen a similar dress with both a narrow skirt, and one that was quite flared and worn over petticoats. Not sure which one you saw.
