Need help for choosing sewing machine?

I totally need some help with this. I’m not much of a sewer, I sewed a bit in grade 10 home economics class and that was a long time ago.

I love cross-sticking, crafting, and paper crafts, but I feel limited in the fact that I can’t sew. Furthermore, I really want to mend clothes and such, instead of finding some seamstress.

So- this is what I am looking for:
- basic sewing: zig-zag and other pattern types
- able to handle sheer fabric
- quilting
- easy to use
- very easy to use

Price- anywhere below $500.00 dollars

TOO much to spend on a first sewing machine when you may not stick with the craft.

ALL new sewing machines have what you are looking for.

DO take a parent or guardian to a sewing machine dealer and tell them what is on your list and they will help you select a first machine and show you how to use it. If you decide you want to learn more, they may offer lessons.

DON”T tell the merchant what you are willing to pay.

SAVE the money not spent on supplies and other crafts.

WHEN you get the machine home and out of the box – set down in front of it with the manual and read.

READ and APPLY each step of every function of the machine. This is the best and quickest way to learn how to operate your machine with the most successful results.
