What is a good resource for learning about beads?


I’d like to learn to make beaded jewelry, necklaces, coin bags, etc. Are there any good websites where I can buy supplies cheap? I need good quality at discount price, as I would like to be able to sell my work at a market. And if you know of any booksor sites with directions and tips, it would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

There are several beading magazines published in the UK and the USA. These should give you links to publications which might include instructions for making things. Apart from Firemountain I would recommend Africanbeads.com and africanbeads.co.uk for unusual supplies, and the book Beads of the World by Peter Francis Jr for historical perspective.
