What should I do with my knowledge?

I have an Associates Degree in Business Management and I will finish my Bachelors in Business this coming May. I have had limited “real world” experience. I have been an assistant manager at a Pizza place, a Inventory Control Manager/Daily Supervisor/Merchandiser at a Chain Fabric Store (JoAnns), and Accounts Recieveable accountant, and currently I am a Freelance Childrens Clothing Designer (I do this out of my home). My skills include PC and Mac computers, Sewing, Pattern Drafting,Fabric knowledge, 10 Key, Opening/Closing of a retail business, ordering, inventory, supervising, scheduling, merchanding, directing, Daily/Weekly/Monthly accounting books…the list goes on. I guess my question comes down to, what should I do with my life……what does my education and skills together lead you to believe I should be?

The trick to picking a career is to find something that you would do for free and then figure out how to get someone to pay you to do it.

Depending on your GPA, there are a LOT of options open to you with a BBA or BSBA. You list a lot of “things” that you have done but I sense that none of them are really hitting the mark for you.

Remember – you’re just starting out in professional life, and it’s okay to try some things before you settle on a career. I’ve changed careers three times in my lifetime – engineer, procurement and then human resources. I love my job – but if you have told me 20 years ago that I would be in HR I would have laughed in your face. Now, I can’t wait to get to work each day.
