what are some cute christmas sewing crafts?

can you aso explain how to do them? I want something basic but not like too plain like a stocking. I want something more complext than a stocking yet not to hard. I don’t know how to follow patterns that much so if you can help me with that I would appreciate it all!!(i have a sewing machine so i won’t handsew it!!) Thanks

Take a square potholder, move the hanger from the middle to one corner if necessary ( take out the stitching and restitch it in the middle of the potholder). Fold the sides to the middle overlapping them. This makes a pocket that is larger on the top and tapers down to almost nothing at the bottom . Glue together, then glue 3 or 4 pretty buttons on it. If you like, put a string bow with a button at the top. Put a scissors in the pocket and you have a nice gift.
I use hot glue.
