How to solder metal jewelry?

im making jewelry with a chain and a 50 cent coin
i need to wrap the chain around the coin..and make it stay
solder it? or glue it?
any ideas? helppp

There are many things to watch out for when using money in jewelery. First you are going to want to research the melting temp of the coin and the chain. If either are plastic with a metal coating (fairly common for low cost items) glue would be best. If both are metal then a solder used for electronics would work (be careful it can contain harmful metals as could the coin). I do not recommend using a silver or hard solder unless you are a metal-smith or used to this type of soldering. You are more likely to melt the chain than do any soldering if you do not have experience at it.
